Is the packaging suitable for sea freight? Is it anti-corrosion?
A:
Yes. Our standard export packaging is designed for long-distance sea freight, and we apply anti-corrosion and moisture-proof measures based on product type and destination climate.
Packaging for Sea Freight
- Outer packing: Strong 5-ply or 7-ply cartons, reinforced with strapping. Heavy goods are packed in plywood crates / wooden cases with IPPC fumigation stamp.
- Palletizing: Goods are palletized (plastic or wooden pallets) and shrink-wrapped to ensure stability during container loading and ocean transit.
- Container protection: Desiccant bags / silica gel added inside cartons or containers upon request. VCI film is recommended for metal parts.
- Shipping marks: Clear export markings, handling icons (“Keep Dry”, “This Side Up”), and customer-specified labels are printed as required.
️ Anti-Corrosion Treatment
- Metal / steel parts: Coated with rust-preventive oil, wrapped in VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) paper or anti-rust film, then sealed in PE bags.
- Electronics / precision parts: Packed in anti-static bags + moisture-proof barrier bags with humidity indicator cards.
- Long transit / high-humidity routes: Increased desiccant quantity; container liner or aluminum foil lining available upon request.
- Surface treatment (optional): Galvanizing, powder coating, or additional lacquer can be arranged before packing (quoted separately).
Special destinations:
If your shipment is bound for high-temperature or high-salinity ports
(e.g., Middle East, South America, coastal Africa), please inform us in advance.
We will upgrade the packing plan accordingly at no hidden cost.
