Three trips to Zimbabwe | NovArk Electric's diesel generator sets set off again, contributing to the stability of electricity in Africa
In the factory area, machines roar and cranes shuttle back and forth. Another batch of diesel generator sets with different powers have completed all factory tests, put on waterproof coats, and are ready to be sent to Zimbabwe, a continent thousands of miles away in Africa.
This is the third time that Qianding Electric has supplied bulk to customers in Zimbabwe since its first entry into the market in 2025. From the cautious attempt of the first unit to the trust enhancement of the third batch, a cooperation map spanning the Indian Ocean is steadily unfolding.
Why Zimbabwe?
Zimbabwe is located in southeastern Africa and is rich in mineral resources such as gold, nickel, chromium, coal, etc. In recent years, it has continued to make efforts in mining, infrastructure, agricultural processing, and other fields. However, the local power supply is constrained by outdated infrastructure and foreign exchange shortages, making frequent power outages and unstable voltage a common pain point.
Whether it is a crusher in a mine, an electric grinder in a beneficiation plant, a cold chain warehouse on a farm, or an operating room in a hospital - a diesel generator set that can be started at any time and output continuously and stably is often the boundary between production and stagnation, safety and risk.
Three supplies, each more in-depth than the last
First time (December 2025): A batch of 100-1000kW power range units were delivered to a medium-sized mine for power supply during night crushing operations. Customer feedback: "More fuel-efficient than local units of the same power, with lower noise at full load
The second time (April 2026): The customer voluntarily added an order and purchased 3 units at once, which were deployed in the selection plant and camp respectively. The after-sales engineer provided remote video guidance for installation, and the machine was successfully connected in one go.
This time (June 2026): The customer has purchased multiple units again for new expansion projects and backup updates. Before shipment, we have carried out special adaptations such as moisture-proof and rust proof treatment according to export standards, reinforcement of export wooden boxes, and switching between Chinese and English control panels.
The reputation of 'Made in China' in Africa is not based on price, but on its ability to work. The customer manager said a sentence during the video inspection that left a deep impression on us: "I have bought cheap second-hand units before, and the repair time is longer than the usage time. Your machines are of reliable quality, and even if you use them for a long time, you don't need to use a wrench.
