Dust & Sand Control Project

A Three-Tier “Front-Block · Mid-Fix · Back-Seal” Defense System

01

Pre-Engagement Situation

Prior to our involvement, the client faced severe desertification and sandstorm threats at their site. Key issues included:

  • Active sand dune migration encroaching on infrastructure and access roads.
  • Frequent dust storms exceeding environmental safety standards.
  • Extreme water scarcity hindering traditional vegetation-based solutions.
  • Fragmented, ineffective control measures implemented by previous contractors.

The situation demanded a systematic, large-scale intervention.

02

Tendering Purpose & Process

The tendering was initiated to select a qualified contractor capable of delivering a comprehensive, long-term dust and sand suppression solution. The process followed standard public procurement procedures:

  1. Issuance of the tender announcement and scope of work.
  2. Pre-qualification and shortlisting of bidders.
  3. Submission of technical and commercial proposals.
  4. On-site clarification meetings with shortlisted vendors.
  5. Evaluation by an independent expert panel.
  6. Final award notification and contract signing.

Our bid was recognized for its technical superiority, feasibility, and lifecycle cost efficiency.

03

Why They Chose Us

The client approached us based on our proven regional experience in arid-zone environmental engineering, our proprietary sand-fixation technology portfolio, our strong data-driven monitoring capabilities, and our reputation for delivering full-cycle projects on time and within budget. Our track record in similar ecological restoration projects gave them confidence in our ability to execute.

04

Proposed Solutions & Recommendations

We proposed a three-tier “Front-Block · Mid-Fix · Back-Seal” three-dimensional protection system:

Front-Block: Install high-efficiency sand-fence networks and windbreak barriers at the perimeter to reduce wind speed and capture migrating sand.
Mid-Fix: Apply eco-friendly soil stabilizers and plant drought-resistant vegetation to anchor the surface.
Back-Seal: Implement automated sprinkler systems and dust-suppressant sprays for continuous control.

We also recommended real-time air-quality monitoring and a phased implementation plan to minimize operational disruption.

05

Implementation & Execution

Execution was carried out in four phases:

Phase 1 Site survey, baseline data collection, and detailed engineering design.
Phase 2 Procurement and deployment of materials; construction of windbreak structures.
Phase 3 Application of soil stabilizers, vegetation planting, and installation of monitoring equipment.
Phase 4 System commissioning, staff training, and handover with a maintenance manual.

Strict quality control and safety protocols were enforced throughout, with weekly progress reports to the client.

06

Post-Award Purpose & Final Results

The purpose of the award was to transform the site into a stable, dust-free environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting adjacent assets. Upon completion, the project delivered the following outcomes:

91%
Wind-Erosion Control Rate
100%
Final Inspection Acceptance
75%
Reduction in Dust-Storm Incidents

The client reported significant operational cost savings and improved safety. The solution has since become a benchmark for similar projects in the region.
